The Week #326 & #327

  • πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§ If you follow my full RSS feed, you'll know I was in the UK last week. As I was busy with work I decided to combine the past 2 weeks into a single post.
  • πŸ–ΌοΈ Despite all of my visits to the UK over the years, I never managed to make it to The National Gallery. I wish I had gone sooner. It reminded me of art history in college. Such a concentration of great art from throughout the ages and they just let you see it. I found it quite moving.
  • πŸ‡―πŸ‡΅ Outside of the museum on that day in Trafalgar Square was a Japan festival. I didn't go in (because I was in Japan 24 hour earlier), but it was good to see the Japanese community out there.Β

On the 3DS there's a feature where if you pass by someone that also has a 3DS, they exchange Miis and you can collect them. I had my 3DS in my bag and got my passing by friend!
  • πŸƒ I haven't been running lately. A bit burned out, a bit bored. I don't know exactly why. I brought my running stuff to London with the intention to run. And I told my co-worker to also bring his running stuff. I didn't go running when I was jet lagged as it's quite dark when you're up and jet lagged and thought I wouldn't go out. Then my co-worker messaged me about going for a run, and so we did – a 30-ish minute run around 5:45 / 6am. It's nice to be able to talk with someone while you run. We also got some good photos of Tower Bridge at night.VeryΒ  happy we kept each other accountable.Β

  • ⭐️ I flew enough this year to get Star Alliance Gold, which gives me lounge access and priority bits and bobs when traveling. Perhaps more importantly, I was able to apply to upgrade my ANA Card with the Super Flyers card, which will let me retain status even if I don't fly enough and with a family card, get all of us into the lounge even when flying economy.
